Many inbound flights get into London airport in the early morning with many outbound flights not leaving until the afternoon. Sometimes flights get in too late in the day to fly out again that day and you may have time on your hands until the following day.
You can enjoy the break in your journey and schedule your flights so that you have an extra London experience as part of your travels. My Select Sojorning Solutions range from one day upwards, enabling you to get the most from the time available.
Saturday and/or Sunday are great days to have a sightseeing tour of all the main sights in Westminster and the City of London when the streets are quiet.
Your itinerary could include The Thames Embankment, Lambeth Palace, The London Eye, Big Ben, Parliament Square, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Whitehall, Victoria Embankment, Horse Guards Parade, Downing Street, Cabinet War Rooms (Churchill’s underground offices during WWII), The Mall, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park Corner, The Royal Albert Hall and Memorial, No 1 London (London Home of the Duke of Wellington, Piccadilly Circus, The Haymarket, Trafalgar Square, Charing Cross, The Strand, Covent Garden, The Inns of Court inc Temple Church, St Paul’s Cathedral, The Monument (commemorating the Great Fire of London, The Tower of London, Tower Bridge.
If you were to stay overnight, I can provide quality bed and breakfast accommodation near the airport (including a manor house near Heathrow dating back to the 1600s. You could also take in a West End show and sample English ale in traditional London pub and/or a soccer game. The choice is yours.
