Explore the stunning and dramatic coastal terrain of the Italian towns of Vernazza, Manarola, Riomaggiore, Monterosso al Mare, and Corniglia, known collectively as the Cinque Terre. Make the most of on-site time by developing strong compositional designs, preparatory sketches, and color studies. Then, use the studies to complete on-site works and as a reference source for future works. Work in your favorite medium-watercolor, oil paints (traditional or water soluble), acrylics, colored pencil, or pastel, and come with a basic understanding of your medium. Course instruction will involve lectures, one-on-one time with Kat, and group critiques.
