Join our expert guide and inspirational leader for an in-depth exploration of the land and paintings of the 19th-century French Impressionists. Discover the artistic beauty of Paris, Giverny, Rouen, Le Havre, Honfleur, and treat through the eyes of artists such as Claude Monet, Eugene Boudin, Gustave Courbet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Camille Pissarro. Visit some of the most famous Impressionist collections including the Muse d'Orsay and Muse Marmottan in Paris, the Muse des Beaux-Arts in Rouen, and the Muse des Beaux-Arts Andre Malraux in Le Havre. Finally, no study of Impressionism would be complete without a visit to Claude Monet's house, his spectacular gardens at Giverny, and his cliffs at treat.

Faculty Information:
Your instructor holds a Masters in Art History from Williams College in Williamstown, MA, home to the Clark Art Institute, one of the largest collections of Impressionist paintings on the East coast. She has taught numerous classes on the art and artists of the Impressionist period and has explored first-hand the cities included on this tour.
