This class is designed for photographers with little or no experience with Photoshop, who want to start using the software tools effectively with their photography. It's based on Photoshop Elements, Adobe's general-purpose image editor aimed at photo enthusiasts. The class covers the essentials needed to start using this excellent program to produce high-quality prints, including sizing, cropping, levels, layers, sharpening, color corrections, and printing fundamentals.
The two Saturday sessions are very hands-on, with sample files for classroom work and a “homework” assignment between class sessions. Class size is capped at four students, to permit time for personal attention and students’ questions.
The instructor for this class is Chris Sandberg, a professional
photographer in the Twin Cities. In addition to his photography, he has been teaching adult learners for 20 years. He uses Photoshop
extensively in his own photography, and has been teaching other
photographers the techniques and tricks to make Photoshop their friend for the last five years.
Chris Sandberg offers one-day and weekend photo trips in which
students can expand their technical and artistic skills in the field.
The class is held my studio, in a suburb of Minneapolis.
