Learn how to weave a Turkish carpet in Gokpinar. Gokpinar is an old, nomadic village with a population of 100. Located on the Aegean Coast of Turkey, we enjoy a location away from areas with heavy tourist traffic. We are only 10 minutes drive from a lovely beach.
Our land sits at the edge of the village, on a scenic hilltop with views of all the landscape for miles around the village. Come and join us for a week to learn traditional way Turkish weaving and experience the real Turkish life of villagers! Spend your holiday away from touristic spots with nomadic villagers!
The weaving classes run all year round for individuals and small groups. The courses are held by local women with translation in English. You will have unlimited weaving time at homely stay atmosphere.

Faculty Information:
Gokpinar Retreat Center is located on the Aegean Coast of Turkey. We are located on a hilltop, surrounded by gorgeous views of rolling countryside & a traditional Turkish village. The Center is twenty minutes' drive from Bodrum International Airport, & we are only 15 minutes drive from some of the best beaches of the area.
The weaving classes ate held by local women with translation in English. You will have unlimited weaving time at homely stay atmosphere.

Optional Day Tours:
A day boat trip: Included are lunch on board, afternoon tea & fruit service. The tour starts at 11 o'clock in the morning. We visit 5 different bays through the day & Black Island, famous for its hot springs. In the bays, you will also have chance to swim in the azure waters of the Aegean. Cost per person: 30 USD.
Day visit to Cos (Greek Island): The tour includes return ferry ticket plus port tax (for daily visitors). The departures are everyday between May and October Monday-Wednesday- Fridays only between November and April. You spend at least 6 hours in Cos town. The cost is per person: 40 USD.
Ephesus: The tour includes professional, English-speaking Guide, air-conditioned luxury coach, all entrance fees, & open buffet lunch. The tour starts 7 o'clock in the morning, for a 2-hour bus drive to Ephesus & the house of the Virgin Mary'. We will be back to Bodrum in the evening. The cost is per person: 50 USD.
Turkish Bath: Includes sauna, scrub, soap massage, transfer from the center. Relax in turkish bath and enjoy your massage on marble platform. The cost is per person: 25 USD.
Facility Information:
Our comfortable, airy guest rooms have great views of the countryside. We decorated in Turkish style, with kilims created locally covering our floors and walls. Double and single beds are available. We invite you to stay with us at Gokpinar Retreat Center, a place with the special, warm welcome of Turkish hospitality!
