Wadi Lahami is found 2 hrs south of Marsa Alam airport. Virtually untouched by tourism you will be amazed by the calmness and beauty of the most southern frontier of surfing in Egypt. You can learn to kitesurf in the lagoon. You are protected by the inner reef allowing you to learn in a tranquil setting without waves hitting you in the back of the head. For those more experienced and wanting to break the Egyptian speed record, all you need to do is head a little further out, passed the reef and you have an endless array of poppers, flat water and small waves. The wind is stronger passed the protected bay and is plenty for speed freaks and freestyle junkies alike! This Kite Camp is aimed at those of you who wish to learn Kitesurfing on the safest and most fun manner on one of the most beautiful and uncrowned spots in Europe. In brief the course will cover, safety, kite set up, flying skills (un hooked and hooked), launching and landing, theory of effects of wind, space awareness, body dragging and self rescue with initial water starting techniques(un hooked and hooked). The goal of this camp is for the camper to become a self sufficient, knowledgeable and safe rider ready to enjoy and practice kitesurfing on your own and to cover all the steps up until IKO level 2 certification (depending on student's learning curve). Obtain your IKO level 1 & level 2. Requirements: Being able to swim is a must! Any surfing, snowboarding, skateboarding or wakeboarding experience will help. Any previous kite flying will also help. Kiteboarding lessons are held every day of the week (Sunday included). The lessons are taught in English, German, French and Spanish. We also offer daily Kiteboarding classes for those of you who want to try Kiteboarding or simply progress. Every lesson includes: - Kitesurfing lessons (theory and practical), 2hours/day. - Transfer between the surf camp and the beach. - Kites, boards, harness, helmets, life vest, wetsuit. etc. - Radio-assisted classes - Classes held by IKO Instructors Level 2 - IKO Kiteboarder Card, level certification - Low student/teacher ratio - Insurance.
