Oil Painting Workshop: The workshop will begin with the choice of materials and the preparation of the canvas and techniques (brushes, mediums and thinners), and a careful analysis of different oil colours according to their transparency and mixing characteristics. The reproduction of a drawing on canvas will be done freehand and/or with a projector to facilitate the initial process. The aim of the course is not “drawing” per se, but a broader introduction to multifaceted, open oil painting technique.
Techniques and courses may vary according to the skill level of the group. Workshops are open to participants of any age, with or without specific experience, and are carefully planned, focused and personalized. Each workshop accepts a maximum of 8-12 students per instructor. Instructors will be living on the premises. This will foster communications, exchanges and further help students produce good results.
