Weekend Retreat, February 16-18, 2007 at the Evensong Retreat Center
Using a number of techniques and books, the workshop leader will provide writing prompts geared toward writing a memoir. We will write on all types of subjects and events of your life. After each prompt is given, we will write for a specified amount of time, then share with the group if the writer chooses.
This workshop is applicable to adults of all skill levels. The goal for some may be publishable essays while the goal for others may be a time for personal reflection.
Evensong is an ecumenical retreat center in Harwich Port, Massachusetts that allows small private retreats to use their facilities.
Those who enjoy the outdoors may take advantage of the many natural settings that this part of Cape Cod offers. An easy-to-ride bike trail offers a journey through gentle forest settings, meadows, and cranberry bogs.
Check-in at Evensong is 3:00 p.m. onward. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. and we will begin the workshop at 7:00 p.m. The workshop ends at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
