Cooking School of Aspen and Fine Food Market, applauded by The New York Times and Gourmet Magazine, is a recreational “chef’s table” cooking experience offering entertaining hands-on and demonstration classes.

We are a place for people who love food - eating it, preparing it, or just talking about it. We've turned culinary education into a dinner party, paired it with some amazing wines, and we're inviting you to be our guest. You'll leave full and happy, and if we've instilled in you a little bit more love for our all-consuming passion, then we feel like we've done our job well.

Informal day and evening classes taught by staff instructors or internationally-acclaimed visiting chefs are served up daily with a sense of humor and plenty of wine. Apres ski events hosted by sommeliers, winemakers and producers of special foods including olive oils occur weekly. Private events and children’s classes available and our Fine Food Market offer gourmet products from around the world.

Did you ever notice how, at the best parties, everyone ends up in the kitchen? Why not skip the middle man, and just throw your party there? CSA can host a chef's table, a hands-on class, or a cocktail-and-appetizer soiree for your family, dining buddies, or corporate get-together. Also we've hosted bridal events, team-building exercises, and anniversaries so lavish that the salad felt underdressed.

Are you stuck in a rut when it comes to ordering wine? Feel comfortable in Burgundy but lost in New Zealand? Each class at CSA includes instruction in wine tasting and selection, with special emphasis on food-friendly varietals from some of the lesser-known wine regions of the world.

While doing all that shopping, we've also saved a little shelf space for gourmet snacks, award-winning cookbooks, and all the other things a gourmet needs to make life bearable.

Faculty Information:
CIA-trained Chef John Klonowski is the Director of the Cooking School of Aspen. We recruit and host chefs and instructors from throughout the country to share their talents and skills with our students and guests.

Other Activities:
Private workshops and dinners with both staff and visiting chefs are available.

Facility Information:
Conveniently located in downtown Aspen, the facility offers state of the art appliances and culinary tools. The adjacent fine food market allows us to incorporate extraordinary, unique products into our courses and chef's table dinners.

Notes:
The cost of each workshop or event varies depending upon the product and teacher - guest chef.
