Workshops: Plein Air Painting. The Candidate for this Workshop must love to explore, paint, walk on cobblestone, sleep in simple accommodations and have an adventurous spirit. The Medieval Adventure Workshop is for people who are looking to experience “How Life Was” during the Middle Ages in Italy. Capture it, and bring it home. Paint in Plein Air and recreate this incredible ambiance. Able to explore hundreds of narrow cobblestone pathways and stone staircases that lead to beautiful churches, taverns, river, old olive mills, markets, spectacular vistas, and to the House, where we will be lodging. The House was built around the late 13th Century; simple with modern conveniences.

Immerse yourself in our world of adventure, paint in Plein Air, discover a town that is older than Rome, walk on ancient cobblestone streets and relax in a town still untainted by mass tourism. The Candidate for this Workshop must love to explore off-the-beaten-path, paint in Plein Air, sleep in simple accommodations, and have an adventurous spirit. This Workshop is for people who are looking to experience how Italians live day to day within a small Medieval Town. We will be lodging in an old Palazzo built on Ancient Roman Walls along the famous Appian Way.

May 2008 - Ceramic - Antonello Filosa - Master Artist who sells his ceramic wares throughout Italy and international.

If for some reason, you want to wonder and explore the territory during painting days, you are welcomed to do so. This is a relax environment, our main concern is to ensure that our guests have the best experience.
Facility Information:
South of Rome: The Palazzo-Hostel was built on Ancient Roman Walls along the Appian Way in the Historical Center of Medieval Fondi. The town has its very own Castle and beautiful cobblestone streets throughout the city. Everything is walking distance… shops, restaurants, cafes, pizzeria, bars, supermarkets, bakery, ice cream (gelato) parlor, outside markets, post office, banks, ATM machines, internet place, bus stops, etc. The Palazzo is very sunny, simply furnished, has 2 terraces, 2 balconies, 3 kitchens, 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large living-room, on 4-levels without elevator (not suitable for the disabled). We provide linens and towels. The kitchen is for anyone who wants to eat at home. The main kitchen has a stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine and opens up to a terrace for outside dinning.
Italian Riviera Hillside: Experience and sleep in a House-Hostel that was built in Medieval Times, with simple accommodations and modern conveniences. The house was built in the late 13th century made up of thick and revealing stones walls, original tile floors, and rooms have domed ceilings. It is simply furnished with 2 balconies, full kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living-room, on 2-levels with an original stone staircase (not suitable for the disabled). Kitchen has a large rustic table, stove, microwave, refrigerator and washing machine. The kitchen is for anyone who wants to eat at home. We provide linens and towels. Everything is walking distance: markets, coffee shops, pub, ice-cream parlor, bakery, restaurants (2), post office, bank, ATM machine, and bus stop.
