Our Spanish school is located 20 minutes away of the Capital city of San Jose. The building has a colonial style surrounded with gardens and patios to rest and where it is possible to have Spanish courses under the sun of Costa Rica.
Our course offers:
Intensive: This Intensive Spanish course focus on the communicative aspect of Spanish and its main objective is to learn the most important aspects of Spanish: grammar, reading, writing, listening, idiomatic expression and a general comprehension of the language. The Spanish course is complemented with cultural activities to contextualize the learning process.
General Information:
All courses start every Monday all year long for all levels. Lessons last 55 minutes. Students take a placement test on arrival. Our Spanish classes have a maximum of 6 students per class.
Faculty Information:
All of our teachers are native Spanish speakers, trained and experienced in teaching Spanish to foreigners. They have teaching degrees and are culturally sensitive. Having traveled to different countries, they are able to interact successfully with the students and offer assistance when needed.
Other Activities:
Every week our Spanish School organizes different cultural activities that complement Spanish courses to really understand the culture and connect directly with the "ticos" (as Costa Ricans are called).
Students learn Spanish and join Latin dance classes as merengue, salsa, cumbia and marcado. If you enjoy cooking, you will learn to cook traditional dishes and prepare traditional drinks. You will also make an Intercambio (exchange) with local students, among many other activities.
Costa Rica offers a wide range of traditional festivities, parades, carnivals and Indian rituals. You will also enjoy international festivals and tournaments, fairs, religious processions, bullfight and cattle show.
On weekends the school organizes different excursions to a variety of places within the country like sandy beaches, the stunning ecosystem of Monteverde Cloud Forest, or active volcanoes where you may even witness eruptions! In Costa Rica everything is a new and unforgettable experience.
