Our curriculum teach techniques in plein air oil painting, use of natural lighting in and out of the studio, and painting subjects unique to this province which have influenced the art of many acclaimed artists from past generations. Each workshop is made up of studio instruction and field study varying by instructor. You will have the opportunity to immediately apply your knowledge gained in the studio and plein air sessions while free-painting daily. Transportation will be provided to take students to plein air sites for instruction and free-painting sessions.

Faculty Information:
Micaiah Hardison founded the Academy to unite the world's best oil painters with earnest students seeking advanced instruction. He strives to inspire students and instructors with an authentic Andalucian experience in these magical landscapes steeped in history. Micaiah lives and paints in Arcos and directs all workshops as your bilingual guide.

Facility Information:
Lodging is in a private one bedroom cottage or studio on the 13 acre rural property with views of the historic town center of Arcos. The cottages are spaced out around the property with private patios, while the suites open onto a beautiful courtyard between them.
