Courses have been designed to cover simple techniques that provide impressive feedback to participants. No special art skills, or equipment is needed, so that techniques that are learned can be continued and built upon at home.
Mixed media, three dimensional, workshop (2 days)
Using simple, plaster, sculptural techniques, this workshop will enable participants to create a personal wall-mountable shrine or space reminiscent of Mexican shrines or nichos. They will use different techniques and computer generated image transfers, to embellish their artworks with images and objects of personal significance.
Faculty Information:
Pauline Agnew is a graduate of the National College of Art and Design (1994) Dublin, and the Dublin Institute of Technology (1998), where she obtained a Degree in Fine Art, and a Masters in Multimedia, respectively. A practicing mixed-media artist and art teacher, she has exhibited her work in Ireland and Europe.

Other Activities:
Golf, horse-riding, hill climbing, sailing, windsurfing, are all activities that are all nearby and may be of interest to non participating partners or friends of art course attendees.
Facility Information:
Seedbed studio is situated in a tranquil, and pretty, rural, West Cork location, within easy reach of Cork city and airport (40 minutes) and the picturesque towns of Clonakilty (15 minutes drive) and Bandon (15 minutes drive).
Housed in a spacious, converted stables, the studio has lots of natural light, lovely views, and for winter weekends, under-floor heating. Groups of up to ten students can be facilitated with ease.
