General French course in the mornings (20 lessons per week) + an introduction to oenology by a professional. This will teach you how to build up your own wine cellar, how to recognize and select a good wine, how to equip and furnish your cellar, how to make your wine age, how to serve it etc. There is also a visit to a local vineyard. We offer courses at the following levels:
I - Starting out Beginner: Students with no knowledge of the language.
II - Survival / Elementary: Students who can say a few isolated words, some short phrases.
III - Rusty / Lower Intermediate: Students who can communicate on simple topics but with mistakes and hesitations.
IV - Brush Up / Upper Intermediate: Students with a good command of the language, who can take part in conversations but still have a comprehension problem as well as lack of ease in expression.
V - Advanced: Students who can express themselves with ease but would like to widen their vocabulary and improve their fluency and comprehension in the general and / or specific areas.
For Business Courses and One-to-One Courses you will also be given a needs analysis to establish what you need to learn and for which situation, so that the course can be specifically tailored to your needs. Courses have a minimum duration, usually 2 or more weeks and start the first Monday of each week.
Faculty Information:
All our staff are qualified, dedicated and experienced teachers who are native or bilingual speakers of English. Direct Communicative Technique methods are used throughout. These are currently considered the most effective systems of broadening the students' knowledge of vocabulary, structures and idiom.
Classes are normally run between Mondays & Fridays. Due to varying travel schedules, alternative arrangements can be made. Students’ level of proficiency is established through a written assessment test on the first day of school.
Other Activities:
You can discover the Provencal culture through varied leisure activities: cookery lessons, wine-tasting with a specialist, an excursion or a game of bowls. For those who love climbing, biking, sailing or diving there are numerous possibilities.
