Simple or elaborate, Italian cooking offers a variety of dishes to satisfy every palate, from the gourmet to the health-conscious, from those who eat standing up to those who spend hours at table. Countless kinds and shapes of pasta, various types of pizza together with meat, fish, vegetables, olive oil and wine - all contribute in making an Italian meal a special occasion.
In each lesson, lasting three hours, the participants will acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge required to prepare some of the most representative regional dishes and to select the wines to accompany them. The course covers the cuisine of Northern Italy, Southern Italy and the Islands. General Italian tuition is offered in the mornings.
The Roman civilization lasted more than 1000 years and has left its mark in every field of human knowledge. Rome has a rich and varied artistic heritage going from the Classic to the late Renaissance. However, Rome is not only a city full of monuments and palaces. It is also a modern and dynamic city with 4 million inhabitants, 84 theaters, 70 museums, 75 cinemas and an indefinite number of restaurants. The climate is mild throughout the year and its proximity to sea, mountains and countryside make it an ideal place for tourists and foreign language students alike.

Faculty Information:
All our staff are qualified, dedicated and experienced teachers who are native or bilingual speakers of Italian. Direct Communicative Technique methods are used throughout. These are currently considered the most effective systems of broadening the students' knowledge of vocabulary, structures and idiom. Classes are normally run between Mondays & Fridays. Due to varying travel schedules, alternative arrangements can be made. Students’ level of proficiency is established through a written assessment test on the first day of school.
Other Activities:
The school organizes a full and varied program of social activities for students (e.g. films, excursions, concerts, operas, guided tours, parties etc). The aim is to ensure that students have every opportunity to practice the language they are learning and at the same time to make friends and have fun. The teaching staff run the activities, making sure that any language or other difficulties are taken care of. A calendar of social events is given to each student on entry to the school.

In our center in Rome, a five-storied Liberty style villa, there are 11 classrooms (in addition to 15 others, in the two annexes situated 50m from the main building).
