Relax and enjoy this beautiful part of the world while learning the local secrets of Spanish cooking and discover the national favorites. We stay in a wonderfully restored Mas outside the small town of Manresa, just west of Barcelona.
Highlights of your vacation will include:
- A tour of the largest producer of Cava in the World
- Learning about Spanish Pottery making
- A visit to the Culinary Institute of Spain followed by lunch prepared by student chefs
- A tour of a chocolate factory producing wonderful confections, which are becoming world renown.
Your cooking holiday begins Sunday afternoon, kicking off a memorable and fun-filled week. Students enjoy a relaxed schedule of daily cooking classes, culinary excursions and free time to explore on your own. You'll learn to cook regional favorites based on seasonal ingredients. The programs are appropriate for all skill levels, however, students should have a basic knowledge of kitchen skills. Ending the week on Friday after lunch.
We have designed a Culinary Vacation with you in mind. An All Inclusive Package: 5 nights fine accommodations, 6 participatory cooking classes, all meals (with the exception of one lunch) with wines, culinary excursions with transportation and all transfers. You stay with Chef John and experience the European way of life first hand.
Faculty Information:
John Wilson, owner of the company, is a certified chef and graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y. Chef Wilson has appeared in Atlanta on local news magazine shows including: Noonday Atlanta, Good Morning Atlanta, Good Day Atlanta, and CNN Healthwatch.
You'll have a morning to explore the quaint town of Greve in Chianti and then on to the charming town of Castellina, where you'll find interesting shops of all varieties. Following a morning of shopping and exploration, we'll have lunch at a local trattoria. On your free day, you may want to take the bus into Florence to see Michaelangelo's David and other famous works of art and historic places.

Facility Information:
Relax and enjoy this beautiful part of the world while learning the local secrets of Spanish cooking and discover the national favorites. We stay in a wonderfully restored Mas outside the small town of Manresa, just west of Barcelona.
Cooking classes are held for up to 8 students in a quaint kitchen complete with breakfast area. Following the meal, which students prepare and enjoy on the terrace, relax outside with wines and view the beautiful countryside.
