The 'study' frees us from expectation. We can dive in and have fun! Studies in watercolour media quickly identify the essence and energy of the image and give us opportunities to experiment with composition and tonal range.
Dianne's approach is guaranteed to enhance your watercolour painting skills, reduce visual clutter and give your paintings an energetic boost! In a vigorous atmosphere of demos and hands-on, create quick, loose studies to see colour as tonal value, plan creative compositions and use large shapes to give watercolour its freedom. With humour and positive feedback, Dianne shows how to select elements to build strong watercolour paintings and, above all, how to have fun and feel good about the process! Working outside (en plein air) weather permitting or indoors from still life sets, this is an ideal workshop for the artist who wants to loosen up and feel more confident with watercolour. Some watercolour experience is recommended, but artists of all skill levels will find this workshop beneficial.
