Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to hotel. Briefing about the tour and orientation with our specialist guide. Meet your meditation guru and Yoga instructor.
Day 2: Detailed day Itinerary.
6:00-7:00am: Contemplative hour in silence. Begin the day in silence on the Kantipur Temple House rooftop with an unobstructed vista of Kathmandu and the surrounding peaks. Join in group meditation or remain alone with tea, a book, and your thoughts in the quiet dawn. (Note: Participants are free to come and go as they please; our only request is to maintain silence on the rooftop and in the fifth-floor reading room.)
7:00-8:30am: Yoga instruction and practice. Learn breathing techniques and body exercises in the heartland of ancient Yoga traditions. Our Yoga training is designed to introduce the beginner to the mind-body benefits of Yoga as well as to give intermediate Yoga practitioners the enjoyment of group sessions with an experienced Nepali instructor.
9:30-4:30pm: Daily tours and activities. Sightseeing- Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Temple. Visit to the sacred Hindu Temple of Pashupatinath famous for its superb architecture, two – tiered golden roof and silver doors. Built in 1696 and dedicated to Lord Shiva, Pashupatinath is the most sacred of Nepal’s Hindu temples and a famous pilgrimage site. Before returning to the city, we also pay a visit to Boudhanath, the world’s largest stupa, and a site of great veneration for Buddhists.
5:00-6:00pm: Meditation instruction and practice. Learn and practice Awareness Meditation, a simple technique that involves sitting comfortably on a chair or cushion while using the breath and body sensations to focus the mind into the present moment of awareness. Available to anyone, this practice was used and taught by Buddha as a way to clear the body-mind of energy blockages and to come to know one’s total self more deeply.
Evening Programs: Dinner at Bhojan Griha, a Nepali restaurant offering cultural performances and ethnic cuisine, in a 150 yrs old renovated neo-classical style building.
Day 3: Detailed day Itinerary
6:00-7:00am: Contemplative hour in Silence.
7:00-8:30am: Yoga instruction and practice
9:30-4:30pm: Daily tours and activities. Visit Monastery. Day visit to a monastery in Kathmandu Valley, feel the ambience of prayer and life surrendering to find the inner truth. Learn about the Buddhist way of living and philosophy through the monks. Lecture with the high Rinpoche of the Monastery to delve more into Buddhist philosophies and applying in daily life.
5:00-6:00pm: Meditation instruction and practice.
Evening Programs: Spiritual Documentary.
Day 4: Detailed day Itinerary.
Visit Gundu and Bhaktapur. Early morning visit to Gundu, 15 km away from Kathmandu to countryside farm. Practice yoga and meditation with your instructor in fresh country air. Organic lunch from the farm, then visit to the medieval city of Bhaktapur, which was one of the three kingdoms of the Mallas. Here we shall visit the Lion Gate, Picture Gallery, beautiful embellished Golden Gate and 17th century Palace of Fifty fife Windows. The city’s ancient temples and palaces are magnificent examples of Newari craftsmanship with their beautiful carved wooden windows and latticework, and Bhaktapur’s people are still renowned for their pottery and hand woven fabrics, including the traditional local red and black saris. Here we will observe the making of traditional pottery.
Evening Programs: Lecture on how Eastern traditions and Western science meet in the path of personal Self Awareness and liberation.
Day 5: Detailed day Itinerary
6:00-7:00am: Contemplative hour in silence
7:00-8:30am: Yoga instruction and practice
9:30-4:30pm: Daily tours and activities. Visit Patan. Travel to Patan City, an artistic and architectural jewel founded in 250 AD, and previously known as Lalitpur. Sometimes it is known as the “Town with a Thousand Golden Roofs.” Here we shall visit the Durbar Square, Royal Baths, Mahaboudha, Krishna Mandir and Hirayana Mahabihar Temple (The Golden Temple). We also visit a Tibetan Handicraft Center.
5:00-6:00pm: Meditation instruction and practice.
Evening Programs: Free Evening.
Day 6: Detailed day Itinerary
6:00-7:00am: Contemplative hour in silence.
7:00-8:30am: Yoga instruction and practice.
9:30-4:30pm: Daily tours and activities. Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swayambhunath. Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, including the Durbar Square, the Temple of Living Goddess and the Royal Palace. You will also visit Kasthamandap, a temple built from a single tree and from which the city Kathmandu derives its name.
Continue for a visit to Swayambhunath, the oldest Buddhist shrine, said to be 2000 years old. The stupa is situated on a hilltop with breathtaking views of the city. Looking east from here one can see the entire Kathmandu valley spread out below.

Evening Program: Free Evening.
