The best way to avoid to get rip-off by a taxi driver is to first know where you want to go and then do not bargain or deal the price. All taxis have taxi meters that should be set to tariff 1 and only after midnight, from 01:00 till 05:00, to 2.

When you think the driver is overcharging you tell that you do not have money and go to the reception of your hotel and ask if the price is correct or ask for help to deal with the driver.

When in the city do not believe funny things like after certain time the price goes up or when entering certain zone the price is changing or the price is changing in certain days.
