| Wednesday, October 12, 2005: Montenegro |
| Submitted by pablo on 2008-02-26 07:42:47 (via www.destination-montenegro.com) |
| Did you know that Montenegro in translation from the Venetian means ''black mountain''? Experience an incredible journey, discover a tremendous historical legacy-the Cathedral of St. Tryphon and the King Nikola Museum, the amazing resort town of Budiva, royal capital of Cetinje and of course the Black Mountain.

Very good article. I am from Montenegro and have to say some words about history of Montenegro.
The history of not just Montenegro but whole SFRJ (Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia) is a "little" confusing. If you ask many people from all these countries you will get different answers. Many things were happening in the last 100 years: wars and other bad things.
The point is that Montenegro and all countries in the region are trying to become stronger, economically better and other stuff but there is always someone who will ruin that and putting us on the beginning.
Montenegro has 3 regions: north, central and south. North is very poor region and many people are going away from that part of countrie. They are usually going to the south.
Central region is just ok about everything.
South is the richest part of Montenegro. Budva (place where I live) is the richest city in Montenegro and many people from other countries are coming in this city, making big hotels.
Montenegro has very beautifull nature. Mountines, woods, beaches... I recommend you to visit my country. ;)
My English is not the best, I hope you understood what i wrote.
Cheers! |

Nice article. I, too, would agree with "Anonymous" from Budva. Well said. Montenegro truly is a beautiful country, people are very pleasant, helpful.
I come from Montenergo as well. But, I live in the capital, Podgorica.
