The following series of photos, taken from my upcoming book of photography ‘CHINA: Portrait of a People,’ are what I personally consider the most beautiful sites of Old China.

The beautiful places described in this story left me completly astonished. Old Chine is really one of the places that till the present moment wears the gentle and mysterious touch of history. And the photos of the villages prove my words.
by the way .. about photos ... i wonder what's the distance been houses in the first photo? are there any streets ?

I liked the introduction, the changes in China are huge, but most of those changes only occurs in designated regions such as Shanghai, Beijing, Fujian and other places open for the foreign inversion. However, in small towns like the one in the pictures, they keep culture and traditions and looks nice in pictures... but at the same time they live with very little money and they may not count with the basic needs.

It is inspiring to see.. and visit.. but if you want to live there... that is whole different ball game.
