Well, if you read the article, you'll see that it's possible. But I guess only really experienced and trained bikers should do it. It sounds exhausting. |

In selva (iquitos , tarapoto, etc) there r places where there r many exotics animals

The general information is correct, although there are historical mistakes (for example, there was never a battle between Incas and Spaniards in the fortress of Ollantaytambo). Indeed, Cusco is one of the major tourist destinations in Peru mainly for its rich cultural capital of the ancient Inca empire, and its ecological richness. The city is located in the Peruvian highlands to 3 500 meters above sea level and is about infrastructure and excellent tourist services, the visitor also has the option to practice adventure sports such as paragliding, mountain climbing, rafting, and balloon flight mountain biking, circuits and areas identified for this purpose. The citadel of Machu Picchu is located 130 km from the city in a totally different region, although the Cusco is located in the mountains, Machu Picchu is in the jungle - to be exact in the eyebrow of the jungle-the difference between an ecosystem and is remarkable and shows more clearly where travel is by train. The other route that is used to arrive at Machu Picchu is the so-called "Inca" who is walking under the supervision of an expert guide and lasts about a week. These are the most popular circuits.
Around the city of Cusco there are many people as old as the city, many of them are not included in tour packages but you can visit on their own account. In recent years this area has suffered a series of attacks by some visitors: stealing parts of colonial churches, mainly paintings, damage to monuments and pre-inca incas, forest fires and attacking biodiversity (in Peru Hunting is not a sport socially accepted) and it is for these reasons that the authorities have prepared their surveillance without affecting the free movement of tourists
But I was surprised by the false perception of reality, exaggeration and malice of the comments of the writer of the article. Stating that so forceful in Peru can not reach the destinations going off the traditional routes is a comment that leaves open the possibility for a number of suspicions, despite its difficult geography, the country Peru is a safe and friendly it is safe for people who hold the correct information about routes and destinations are allowed, and people are friendly with everyone who comes with good intentions, they are even willing to help the visitor to any incident that may occur. Similarly speaking of cockroaches, leper colonies and killed animals demonstrates the bad faith of that person. In my visit to Cusco I've never seen a single cockroach and the last leper colony in Peru there were - and that was located in the jungle of Iquitos-closed in the 60s' of last century. As for the animals "slaughtered" the author is perhaps confusing this with the "subsistence economy", many high Andean communities survive by cultivating gardens and raising animals for use in their own, but this happens in extremely remote and not near Cusco.
I can only add that the last few years Peru has suffered a series of attacks on its image and reputation, many of them using images, videos and information from the time when the country was an internal war. Today the reality is very different.

I understand that English isn't your mother tongue, but to accuse the writer of malice is extreme. The article doesn't say or imply that Peru is not a safe place. It just states that some parts are hard to reach by bicycle, which isn't surprising.
As for cockroaches: this guy said he went to a cheap hotel, but apart from that, don't be ridiculous, there are cockroaches all over the world. For example, in a city like New York, you will find cockroaches in almost every building. The "leper colony" wasn't meant literally, just to indicate that the place was hard to find.
This guy was really enthusiastic about Peru, so you have misjudged the article completely. |
