The author calls Cuba a land o ironies: the communist revolution that was meant to bring equality to the masses has produced in the end a new nobility, the dollar tourists. It’s a sad situation, considering that a girl will offer herself for a price of the equivalent of a cup of coffee per night. At least that’s how things were five years ago.

This article is all touchy, intriguing and shocking in the same time. I still can't believe it! And where are the ideals of equality, prosperity and whealth that the proletar revolution should have brought to people? It is so sad...
