| The Bullet Train |
| Submitted by Adele on 2007-03-15 05:17:11 (via www.worldtravelstories.com) |
| Traveling in a bullet train could be the experience of life – a comfortable and very exciting one. Reading this, I've discovered some very interesting aspects in trying to ride one of these shuttle trains: from booking the tickets to the very popular and very tasteful "bento-boxes".

Oh, the fast trains are indeed fascinating. I personally like treveling by trains and a confortable cariage means a lot for me. Till now the best trains I traveled in were in Germany, Austria and Poland. There was everything of what was described in this article (a panel displaying the next station, the exact time, the temprature outside and some meal and water proposed by the personnel). Still, I believe the speed wasn't 300 to 450 km/h. But I would like to travel in such a "super train". |

Traveling by train is certainly a special experience, especially in China due to its vast territory. However to do train trip by bullet train is all the more exciting. In China new bullet trains has been introduced into the market. People are able to take this 250km/hour fast train to go from Shanghai to Beijing very easily and money-saving as well. On the way you can see beautiful landscape along two sides of the rail. This is something you can't experience by flight. The train ride is quite comfortable and the interior decor of each car is very cozy and morden. |

Isn't 250 km/h too fast for anyone to be able to enjoy the landscape? I do admit I like the comfort and the punctuality of the bullet trains, but I don't think it is the most enriching way of traveling. |
