Here is an article about the Novi Sad in Yugoslavia: definitely a well preserved place in spite of the NATO bombing in 1999. The events of 1999 in Balkans were indeed shoking. I still remember, there were reports of the situation in Serbia every day on the main News Channels. I know the Balkan countries were never considred very wealthy. It is interesting, could they recover the political and economical crysis of those years? Is it now a good destination to travel?
