The Old Town of Rethymnon, Crete

The old town of Rethymnon is one of the best-preserved towns of the Renaissance. Lying in the heart of modern Rethymnon, it combines the oriental features of the Turkish period with Renaissance-style Venetian architecture.

Wow, this seems very interesting. Like a museum of architecture... So, are there actual people living there in these buildings?

Have you been there? Or is that just an article that you liked? Are you an architecture student?

Hi Yannis!

YOu probably like architecture... I actually like that too as well as sculpture as opposed to paintings. So, do you go there just as a tourist or other business? What would be some of the main attractions there?

Youre right. Below the article there is a whole list. I guess Crete as an island in itself is pretty exciting to visit...

I would love to actully visit an old city... there is such a romantic air about it. But from my observation these kind of places are pretty expensive if you are to eat out there. I would not be surprised if such is the case with this one...

Dinner for 2 should cost between 30 and 50 Euro if you avoid the fancy restaurants.
