Sometimes Things Go Right
Submitted by kiwi on 2007-04-04 09:54:26 (via www.madnomad.com)
This is a trip to the caves in Kabayan to see the mummies the Ibaloi people embalmed. Unlike the Egyptians, they didn't eviscerate their mummies: the body was considered sacred, so organs could not be removed. The process was started before death. This account also includes the ritual of sacrificing a pig for someone ill.

What a sadist treatment of dying people. I have never heart of such practices of mumifying people! Oh my God, that's terrible, why did you want to see the mummies?
