This is rediculous! i stay in Zimbabwe and i have never eaten anything like fried worms in Zimbawe or in the restaurant. I think that is better to respect one's culture and so forth. something can be disgusting for you and not for all the people, so do not generalize things, what you like i personally do not like. So, do not write about something you do not know. |

the story about the caterpillar sounds rather too unfair I mean she ate the caterpillars for the first time and didn't like them but that is not plausible enough ground to launch such an angry tirade. The caterpillars are quite nice and I have enjoyed them since like I don't know when -mebbe she came across badly prepared ones coz there are more of a tribal delicacy [ the Ndebeles and also Kalangas] and in certain areas of the country the people there are not well 'schooled' in preparing them! |

im zimbabwean and personally i eat those worms (cooked right that is) if you found them disgusting well thats your cup of tea, keep it to yourself.. you make it seem as though we only eat worms in this country? we dont go around critisizing your food eg crabs, snails, lobster. i can tell you what i think about those but i wont. zim is beautiful and worms are healthy and nutrious your loss.. |

I Love Those Worms and I Love and appreciate dishes from other cultures. I know people that would not be caught dead eating prawns or sushi, but they LOVE mopani worms. Each to his own guys. It's stupid to try and convince people not to eat stuff because YOU don't like it. But hey... What do we know, we're only Africans who thrive on mucous tasting worms.
Respect other cultures. |
