Tahiti

Business class plane from New York to New Zealand through Tahiti with a stay of 6 days in Tahiti and Moorea… Sounds not so bad. In fact, not bad at all!! Lush vegetation, cozy pensions and nice people may turn a regular vacation into a very special one.

French Polynesia is a perl in the middle of the pascific ocean, heaven to those who are able to disconnect from day to day rituals of the western world. Any trip to Tahiti and its islands must be done with appriciation to the beautiful harmony nature has to offer here. Words cant discribe this place, i have lived here for almost 2 years, IN Tahaa, Tahiti and now living in BoraBora. Coming here as a tourist one can easly fall into the trap of spending a fortune without experiencing the real polynesian hospitality whisch is increible. Advice: dont stay long in Tahiti, too european, people are generaly westernised, Money money, work work etc, a short hop over 2 lagoons and one can be in Moorea, already a huge difference to Tahiti. If looking for logments, go to the Pension de Famille, cheaper but with real experience with the locals and there way of living. lots more advice, dont hesitate to post comments. Pete
