What do you do, if you end up in Cordoba? Maybe by reading this, one can get a pretty good idea what the place is like, moreover there are plenty of pictures. The main attraction seems to be Mezquita, which I gather is a very architecturally intricate fortress…

I adore those European cities with very narrow streets and beautiful buildings. I also like very much the nice caffeterias near the streets where one can in a relaxed atmosphere seep a glass of good wine. It seems that Cordoba is one of those cities. Is there any activities that one mustn't miss when in Cordoba? Any dish that mustn't be missed?

As the author of the article, I just want to add that the Mezquita is not a fortress, but rather an ancient Mosque turned Catholic Church. It's one of the most interesting and beautiful buildings in Spain.

Thank you for your explanations, Wired2theworld. I should have figured out from the word Mezquita that this is a MOsque, but something didn't connect in my brain... :-)

It really seems like an amazing place, just looking at the pics. Is is open for visiting or only partially? I really don't know how accesiblle these places are to public...
