| Six years of traveling in Africa… this is quite a term. Still, another day is another experience. Personally, I like experiences that bring comfort to my soul, let them be really small events, not the ones who attract immense masses of people. Kissing Linda is such an event for me. It’s just so cute, this ostrich:).

This is the most accurate traveller's account of South Africa I have heard ever. The article is mostly accurate on issues of history, economy and geography. As a South African, it is very refreshing to see my own country through some else's eyes. |

Well Eric Vance did a good job at touring my country and has given a fair reflection of his experience here. I live in SA's best city and he seems to have missed it... so to any other travelers out there: please dont skip Durban on your african adventure. And while you're down in southern africa, its worth a your while to explore the coast of Mozambique as well.
One last tip: hold on tight to your cameras, cell phones, wallets and laptops in busy places like Jo'burg airport... our thieves here are masters at the art of stealing.
Otherwise, I love my county, it is a truely beautiful and inspiring place to live. We have so much creative talent here that is in desparate need of international recognition. |
