Weekend in Macedonia
Submitted by bindero on 2007-07-13 02:22:49 (via
Macedonia is very sympathetic with its small enchanting villages and unusual peacock guards. A trip to this quiet country is not what you would imagine an ultimate adventure like, but ... crossing its borders is really the icing on the cake. This whole ritual lasts for half an hour and that determines many tourists to despair. Welcome to Macedonia!

putting aside the inconsistency of the article,I did like the photo with the peacock, considering it is one of the many symbols of the city of ohrid-the cradle of the slavic should have focused more on the old part of the city, just above the already mentioned(stil unimportant "mafia named restaurants").ohrid has 365 churches and monasteries...what more can I say?!:)

haha.. so funny. maybe they have something like a competition on who's the slowest in letting people cross the customs :)
and yes, it's not what you'd call a very informative travelogue, but I think it helps for people to be prepared for what is to come :)
