eaching the casino you get to the part of Monaco where you can even smell the money. There's the casino, a luxurious hotel, the cafe de Paris and some luxurious shops. But you've to be 21 years to be allowed to go in. If you are not yet 21 visit the parking lot of the casino, you will surely not be disappointed by the collection of cars.

Bicycling Through Europe 1998

The beautiful German landscape… under a dense curtain of rain and low gray clouds; no worry, not such a big deal for some experienced cyclists. The most important thing is to find a cozy place for lunch and pull over all the clothes that they have brought with them. It’s just a win-win situation – feel warm and ride with empty rucksacks.

Tradition and Artifice
Submitted by kiwi on 2007-05-18 07:32:39 (via
“What is tradition? A strange force that makes thousands of people wait for hours in the sun for a three second glance… Because... it is the way things are done. Someone isn't happy with our food. It's old-fashioned. Not sexy. Not space age. Where is the voice to resist artifice?..” You don’t have to go England to face this.

Cruise in Russia
Submitted by cleo on 2007-05-18 04:30:11 (via
In retrospect it turned out to be the best trip so far… It was better than we could have hoped for. It was the most relaxed time we have ever been in our travels. Cruising on the lakes and rivers was quite different from an ocean cruise. The entertainment was of a higher caliber… It was wonderful!!

“Tirana is a city of extreme contrasts. A donkey-drawn cart pulls up along side of a top-line Mercedes. A Muslim cleric sings the morning prayers as a spandex-clad woman enjoys her morning run. A cow looks up from grazing to notice a major traffic jam”. Looks like a scene from an Indian movie, while it is a European country we are talking about.

Les Bournizeaux
Submitted by Amber on 2007-05-14 03:54:29 (via
“You'd need a pretty good map to find Les Bournizeaux. It is near Bergerac, about one and a half hour drive east of Bordeaux.” But the place is terrific, and so are the food and the castles in this area, as well as Les Eyzies-de-Tayac with its cave paintings and Museum of pre-history.

In Vienna you can run in some pretty out-of-ordinary things, things that will create an uproar in other parts of the world. If you are a chocolate lover this is a dangerous place to be or to live. Soon you may get out of proportions. But back to Vienna – it can impress one a great deal!   More...

Getting in Italy
Submitted by bindero on 2007-05-11 05:56:38 (via
Traveling through Italy by train… just fast enough to see many cities in a relatively short period of time and slow enough to make an impression of those cities. This way, you can be proud that you may make a difference between 2 different cities like a real expert. After accessing the link, go to "the route" in the left side of the page.

Faroe Islands - Travelogue
Submitted by bindero on 2007-05-11 05:43:44 (via
“The boat ride was amazing, along towering cliffs crowded with all kinds of birds, and sometimes even a sheep on an apparently unreachable spot of grass. After the tour I started walking up the mountain along the hiking track to Saksun.” I adore this typical landscape of the Faroe Islands. Remote land that offers quiet and relaxation! Faroe Islands
Submitted by pablo on 2007-05-11 05:32:54 (via
”Situated in the heart of the Gulf Stream in the North Atlantic halfway between Scotland and Iceland, the Faroe Islands are almost unknown part of Europe. Extremely beautiful landscape - that's what attracts here the tourist”. The unknown is always attractive!
