Moldova
Submitted by lisa on 2007-02-15 08:48:20 (via www.escapeartist.com)
Moldova is not only excellent wines and good food! What makes Moldova, the Europe's most hidden country, the perfect travel destination in Eastern Europe, is its people. Chisinau, its capital, is a surprisingly clean city and has recently been renovated in the downtown area. One could even say it’s become posh. Pretty nice article!   More...

Lake Baikal Mysteries
Submitted by Amber on 2007-02-14 07:31:07 (via www.worldtravelstories.com)
The lack of lifevests on board isn’t a problem, when on Lake Baikal: "you survive only a few minutes anyway in there." Going in with feet only, it's said to extend your life by two years, swimming in the lake will either extend your life with 25 years or kill you immediately. However, the real mystery is to be found at sunset…   More...

In the Cockpit
Submitted by Amber on 2007-02-09 09:09:52 (via www.heldencrow.com)
I always have so much fun reading the articles from this site. This one is about an eluding country, small, hidden in a crack between two big countries, no, actually three. People like to retain the mystery of their little home; in addition, they conspire to speak a language among themselves incomprehensible to any living being…   More...

Fear the Goat Boy
Submitted by cleo on 2007-02-09 07:39:14 (via www.heldencrow.com)
“There's something going on in the heart of Switzerland… Find out what the Swiss are hiding. Noone can be that calm. Nothing can be so well-ordered. Nowhere could be that dull." Well, it seems like a place of peace, calm, and natural beauty. Trains run on time. Everyone’s good-natured, open-minded and cheerful… “They're definitely up to something.”   More...

Haunted Malta
Submitted by christine on 2007-02-09 06:29:22 (via www.currybet.net)
So is Malta haunted by ghosts?-“When the picture began to appear there seemed to be something on it which had definitely not been there when he took the snap. A few more seconds of concentration, and he realized that there…was the figure of a headless girl, wearing a bridal gown”. It’s really shocking! And what is more amazing, it looks like truth!   More...

Viennese Memories
Submitted by bindero on 2007-02-09 05:45:10 (via srijith.net)
Vienna is probably one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It’s amazing; it’s so culturally rich that every time I go there is something new to see or there is someone famous giving a concert. And this is not to mention its superb architecture, which fascinates people from all around the world for centuries.   More...

Lost on a Trolley in Milan
Submitted by Amber on 2007-02-08 08:34:06 (via www.icdc.com)
This is a story about an American traveling to Milan and, instead of taking a taxi from the central train station to the hotel, he decided to go by trolley in order to see more of the city. Well, he was to discover soon that that wasn’t such a good choice... moreover, he didn’t have a ticket and didn’t know the language...oops!

Mongolia & Trans-Siberian Train
Submitted by kiwi on 2007-02-02 08:12:10 (via www.cristytrembly.com)
This is a quite unsurprising, at least for me, experience in a former sovietic country. Although today things have changed. On the trains you get sort of the same kind of service and asistence as when traveling by plane. With all the shocking moments, there are many remarkable places worth seeing.

The Balkan Bash
Submitted by roxy on 2007-02-02 08:09:02 (via www.allystrip.com)
“Crazed Croats, impersonated journalists, brawls, extremists, cliff diving and of course a Bosnian nymphomaniac. Who would have thought in the Balkans would be so much fun?” Yeah, I cannot find other words to describe this article but funny and somehow exotic. Why? You don’t walk every day in a rally for sustaining the Communist Party:).   More...

Albania Travelogue
Submitted by roxy on 2007-02-02 06:07:37 (via www.cjseymour.plus.com)
Tired of the most popular travel destinations? Then don’t go in there! Unless you are an US or former USSR citizen, you can go to Albania. Yeah, sounds pretty exotic, but be prepared for no hot water in the morning and toilets that don’t flush. If you can skip these small details it can be pretty interesting!   More...
