Things you MUST do in Belgium
Submitted by roxy on 2006-12-21 01:35:27 (via www.theworldly.org)
Great piece you should’t miss, even if you’re not going to Belgium soon. As the title suggests, it talks about things you MUST do in this country: taste the handmade chocolate and the waffles, visit the Grand’Place, meet the peeing boy, and get a piece of Belgian lace. Now you can say you’ve been there. But first, you MUST read this article.   More...

Ukraine: Kiev
Submitted by bindero on 2006-12-20 02:42:30 (via www.europe-east.com)
I had NO idea this eastern European city was founded by the Vikings. I’m talking about Kiev, or Kyiv, or Kijev, or Kiew, or Kijóv – you name it, the capital of Ukraine. I found this article very informative, taking the main attractions of the city and briefly describing them from a traveler’s perspective. And the pictures are great too!   More...

Croatia
Submitted by lisa on 2006-12-20 02:40:53 (via gvcommunity.tripod.com)
Traveling alone is way easier than taking your family (especially the children) with you and trying to get everyone satisfied. That’s why I was surprised to see it really is possible to make a trip with two kids, and truly enjoy it, not only survive it. But hey! Stunning sunsets, old villages, Caribbean-like beaches… Who could resist Croatia?:)   More...

Ibiza and Pamplona Travelogue and Party
Submitted by lisa on 2006-12-20 02:35:40 (via www.pubclub.com)
There’s no secret: Ibiza is known as the best party spot on the glob. So here we are, a bunch of Californians go to Ibiza - from one beach to another- to party day and night (most clubs open at 2 a.m., and last till next morning). It’s a fun place to visit for party people, and an interesting one to read about for the rest of us :)

Berlin
Submitted by guided on 2006-12-16 01:25:46 (via www.oldworldwandering.com)
Rain crashed on the tin roof of a small caravan dispensing draught beer. Claire and I huddled beneath it, sipping Becks from refundable plastic cups. Dance music thumped from neat piles of speakers lining both sides of Strasse des 17 Juni, played by DJs now frantically trying to cover their equipment.   More...

Oxford
Submitted by kiwi on 2006-12-15 03:00:12 (via www.oldworldwandering.com)
Ever heard of Oxford? Of course, who didn’t? Well, many still… but that’s not what I want to say. These guys visited Oxford and can tell you what this is actually like. They even managed to sneak into a few lectures, and get an idea of the standard of Oxford’s educational culture plus other particularities like beer and nightclubs…

The Spotted Cow
Submitted by kiwi on 2006-12-15 01:17:30 (via www.oldworldwandering.com)
Who doesn’t like to travel? Some time ago I thought that only I am so thirsty for traveling and other do this out of duty of because they just need a vacation.‘/ But besides liking it you’ve also got to have some money, which is a problem often for many. Now look what these people did to earn for traveling. Sweat and tears, but I admire them.   More...

Chartsworth Castle
Submitted by Adele on 2006-12-15 01:06:54 (via athomewithfriends.blogspot.com)
I was always fascinated with old castles – I guess it’s because of the fairytales I loved to read in childhood. When visiting one I especially look for the hidden stair that leads to a secret room. It seems so mysterious and I am so curious;o) Reading about the Chartsworth Castle and seeing the pictures, I thought it a very cool place to visit!

Norwegian New Year
Submitted by roxy on 2006-12-11 23:32:14 (via www.indiatravelogue.com)
Norway is my favorite winter country since I visited it in 2005. Reading this article gave me the feeling I never left that place, and I’m still hanging out skiing, having an amazing Norwegian breakfast and most of all – spending New Year with the great, friendly, Norwegian people. No matter how far away from home you are, you feel welcomed there…   More...

A Remix on Paris…
Submitted by Laurentzi on 2006-12-05 01:36:18 (via www.lanceandeskimo.com)
…from DJ Paul. 'Tired of reading how remarkable is that place and spectacular is the other, or how horrible was my experience there and how disgusting was the food over there? Take a break, click, relax and get refreshed with a new arrangement. You’ll like the beat*
