Northern Portugal: History, Architecture and Port Wine
Submitted by cmaingue on 2008-03-19 12:35:26 (via www.circatours.com)
For a relatively small country, Portugal offers a wide variety of scenery and sightseeing, from the majestic Douro River Valley in the north to the sunny beaches of the Algarve in the south. My favorite part of the country is northern Portugal, with its wonderful architecture, colorful local markets, and decorative azulejos.

A taste of Thailand (II)
Submitted by masterman on 2008-03-10 18:21:03 (via ihopping.blogspot.com)
Thailand is hot, wet and spicy, and it's not just the weather and the food. Sexual tourism is huge in Thailand, and Bangkok is very justly famous for that.

A taste of Thailand (I)

In Bangkok there are no streets; there are only markets. The street is not a place you just pass through on your way to somewhere else, the street is where you live: where you buy and sell, where you eat and drink, where you spend your days munching the polluted air in the humid heat.

Part one of my impressions on Thailand.

There is no doubt that every city has its dangerous parts, and it is good for a foreigner to know which are those.... taxi driver took him to an area called ''hell’s row'', ''this is where bad people are''....driving up a narrow unpaved road, in the middle of a filthy, crowded area...
