| Being an American officer in Iraq is a tough thing. As I have read it, it does determine them to look and experience travels in a different way. Not worse, just different. And the good humor, the icing on the cake, makes their travel stories enjoyable. Moreover, if they are about the charming Qatar. I loved this one:)

| “In St. Kitts, there's plenty of time to get your feet wet, have a locally brewed beer and some fried conch fritters and make it in time for happy hour. 80 degrees, sunny weather, beautiful ocean, friendly people - everything you would expect on a tropical island...” ahh, this inspiring article has made me regret spending my summer not in St.Kitts

| A trip to the Falkland Islands |

| Imagine having the life of soap characters. That's not unreal if you're in the Falklands. At times, living there feels like being in the enclosed social world of a soap opera: cute houses, quiet roads, no advertising and tight social connections. Neglecting the price of getting there, the Falklands are a drastic way to escape the real world.

| Unwritten Travel Rule no.1: if you really want to see a country, avoid the tourist destinations and search for authenticity beyond their borders. When it comes to Guyana, for nature-lovers it means experiencing local friendliness, meeting Otters, catching Caimen, nest-raiding and fishing. It was easy for them to get adventurous.

| San Felipe's Anghalo Falls |

| Before my accident, we were able to go exploring again in northern Zambales. This time, we roamed through the outskirts of San Felipe, the fourth and northernmost San of the consecutive "Four Sans" (San Felipe, San Narciso, San Antonio, San Marcelino). Within the depths of the jungle we hoped to find the little known Anghalo Falls.

| Nomads Of Ararat - Return To The Mountain |

| A wonderful article about a race of semi-nomadic folk, who live around the slopes of the biblical Mount Ararat, in East Turkey. I find it amazing that such people and their traditional existences can be found in such touristy places as Turkey, and yet remain so totally invisible to anybody that doesn't go right out of their way to look closer.

| “When you think of Uruguay what do you think of? If "not much" comes to mind then you would be in the majority. “ I don't know whether to be happy or sad for being in the majority. But hopefully, by reading this enjoyable report of some curious experience in the land of vintage cars, fields, cows, leaky condos and mate I rectified the situation ;)
