Submitted by ieuandolby on 2007-08-02 15:28:19 (via www.seadolby.com)
Sometimes though snippets of a Russians current life back home, of times and cultural adjustments made under the communist rule are told and here I listen hard, I put the matchsticks in my eyes to keep them open and nod and prod when the opportunity arises.   More...

Submitted by ieuandolby on 2007-08-02 15:24:03 (via www.seadolby.com)
So here I am in this little gathering of buildings along the St Lawrence Seaway and I am wandering why it reminds me so much of Victoria. And then it dawned, tis' the bums you see, the government sponsored layabouts who seem to adorn every main street in every town in Canada   More...

A Little R&R in Qatar
Submitted by bindero on 2007-07-27 04:04:21 (via coconutcommando.blogspot.com)
Being an American officer in Iraq is a tough thing. As I have read it, it does determine them to look and experience travels in a different way. Not worse, just different. And the good humor, the icing on the cake, makes their travel stories enjoyable. Moreover, if they are about the charming Qatar. I loved this one:)

Submitted by christine on 2007-07-27 03:08:39 (via www.gonomad.com)
“In St. Kitts, there's plenty of time to get your feet wet, have a locally brewed beer and some fried conch fritters and make it in time for happy hour. 80 degrees, sunny weather, beautiful ocean, friendly people - everything you would expect on a tropical island...” ahh, this inspiring article has made me regret spending my summer not in St.Kitts   More...

A trip to the Falkland Islands
Submitted by lisa on 2007-07-26 03:59:37 (via www.gyford.com)
Imagine having the life of soap characters. That's not unreal if you're in the Falklands. At times, living there feels like being in the enclosed social world of a soap opera: cute houses, quiet roads, no advertising and tight social connections. Neglecting the price of getting there, the Falklands are a drastic way to escape the real world.
