Here is a very interesting article on Istambul, mixed with fun chips:O) It ilustrates so well the everyday life, the hospitality, the history, modern life and night life of this city. If you are a keen observer you’ll get some clues of more subtle issues of its culture.

A Fractured Rib
Submitted by Adele on 2007-03-16 09:11:14 (via www.tamegoeswild.com)
Never bike like this. Unless you really want to show off, racing with a train. This „tame” guy got a broken rib, but what mattered most at the moment was that the people on the train won’t see how he flipped over...

This article shows a different side of Japan. The monkeys, deer, trees, sea, and mountains of Miyajima Island will help one gain a better understanding of why this site became a shrine, and that the mythical places of Japanese ink paintings really do exist.

Mystery Hill: America's Stonehenge?
Submitted by pablo on 2007-03-16 05:49:03 (via www.unmuseum.org)
Another world wonder: it’s in America and looks like the Stonehenge, but in a smaller variant. The main question is: who built it? Submitted by pablo on 2007-03-15 10:12:18 (via www.csmonitor.com)
North Korea is probably one of the most mysterious places on the Earth. Not because something special is going on there, it is just sooo protected that far not all can enter this country. Even if you pay $80 for the visa application, the probability that it is rejected is quite high. But once you enter it and obey the rules, it is unforgettable.   More...

The Last Eden

“Sorata, Bolivia, is the kind of place that makes me want to buy a house”. The irresistible beauty of the surroundings and the pleasure of hiking entire days in the Andes make of it just the perfect place to go. Of course, this is apart from some misunderstandings with the local guide, but this is another story.   More...

To the Peak of The Island of Hokkaido
Submitted by cleo on 2007-03-15 09:30:30 (via www.tamegoeswild.com)
Climbing a vocano solo, at night, whithout first checking the weather conditions...? Crazy, but an expedition that will make you feel victorious and... miserable. A drop of humor, however, will keep up the spirits. In case this is Yotei San, then Japanese hospitality may provide you with a hot bath, after you’ve been soaked well in the rain.   More...
