Alaska Fly Fishing, North….to Alaska!
Submitted by pablo on 2007-01-25 03:28:20 (via hipwader.com)
Alaska, one may think of it as an imense, almost unhabited land. And this is partially true. But just partially, as the life is very intense here. The gold searchers still hope to find new sources of gold; the possbility to meet a bear is so high that people walk with a gun; and fishing is a real challenge here. What a wild and fascinating world!

Achille 2001
Submitted by lisa on 2007-01-25 03:21:01 (via www.eu-train.net)
Achille Island? Sounds pretty exotic, and it indeed is! They have their own language, they used to have massive shark fishing, so that sometimes the sea would be red of blood; from here the word “boycott” would appear. And one more thing… the people here are the most hospitable in the world. Where the island is? Read and check it out!

Alaska Adventurer Trip Log
Submitted by roxy on 2007-01-25 03:08:45 (via www.yachtalaska.com)
What can be more fascinating than whatching the whales? "Whatching the whales!", would answer the members of the Alaska Adventurer, joined together from all over the world for this special activity. “The whales arrive at the surface with their enormous mouths wide open, synchronized in a spectacular group lunge”. It’s indeed a breathtaking picture!

Paracas and Islas Ballestas
Submitted by christine on 2007-01-25 02:54:11 (via volker.umpfenbach.de)
After reading this article I associate Paracas and Islas Ballestas with the history of Guano production - the famous ferilizer, and some jobs related to this product, such as Guano Extraction Manager; the enigmatic El Candelabro, and the spectacular desert shore fauna. Perhaps, this place may pretend to be one of the most mysterious in the world.

Genova
Submitted by bindero on 2007-01-25 02:48:36 (via www.thetravelzine.com)
Genova – one of the most beautiful Italian cities, also known for its very delicious food. You know what idea came to me when reading this article? That I would like to stay somewhere in Genova, admiring the Alps, listening to the Italian music, eat Italian food and delight myself with a glass of great wine. Not bad tastes, no?

If you ever plan to travel to Mali prepare to walking around with a scroll of animal skin under your arm for a map. He-he-he! You think that’s funny? Some training in bargaining will also prepare you well for such trip, but you get quite a good lesson on the subject just by reading this article. It’s quite humorous!   More...

Beware of Freak Waves
Submitted by Laurentzi on 2007-01-25 02:03:52 (via www.keithv.com)
By its title you would think this article is about a freakish experience out in the sea somewhere. Of course, nothing compares with the excitement of catching the fist fish when only 24 year old, but there is sand boarding, smelling a seal colony, petting a cheetah, and other unforgettable moments like these.

Rabbit’s Laugh
Submitted by Amber on 2007-01-25 01:26:13 (via www.heldencrow.com)
What a funny introduction to Deutschland culture! To avoid being labeled as crazy and ending up to the police, then, when passing strangers, you must ”cease speaking immediately, and as you pass them in total silence, give them a long, hard stare.”

17 dives in three days to a totally different world: sightseeing the Clam gardens, Pixie’s Pinacle, the Temple of Doom, the Beer house, Steve’s Bommie and No Name Bommie, swimming with a minkie whale and kissing a cod… Fun to read even for non-divers because of the quick basic terminology provided.   More...
