Bahamas - Another Paradise Island
Submitted by Laurentzi on 2006-12-01 02:39:45 (via www.realbakingwithrose.com)
The terrific gales of wailing wind and rain make you start thinking tsunami!, the food: an exquisitely silken piece of toro sashimi will leave you with the feeling of patting a soft angora cat only to discover unsheathed and unexpectedly sharp claws, and having delicious ice cream 4desert while smelling antiseptic disinfectant is unforgettable!..;)   More...

The Dominican Getaway
Submitted by Adele on 2006-12-01 01:40:35 (via realtravel.com)
I never thought of the difference in staying at a rented villa or at an all-inclusive hotel, but there is one, at least in the Dominican Rep. – you get to try home-cooked Dominican meals ;o) Yumm! I also liked the “cascading” part – must be really fun and wild!

La Isla de Encantada
Submitted by kiwi on 2006-12-01 01:01:20 (via www.travelblog.org)
Very engaging reading. It kinda takes you through the canyoning trip in El Yunque, the out of this world diving experience and the unordinary caving tour to discover that actually the mountains of Puerto Rico used the be the seabed. Surprised? All accompanied by the incessant chirping of Coqui's, small frogs that coat Puerto Rico like icing;o) Eeh!   More...

Lost fishermen found after 57 days
Submitted by lisa on 2006-12-01 00:42:42 (via edition.cnn.com)
Drinking rain water and eating raw fish? No thanks. I couldn’t even do it for a day… Two fishermen lost in the Pacific did it for 57 days to survive, after bad weather prevented them from reaching their destination in an outboard motor. Unbelievable: none of the other fishermen who noticed them came to their aid! See what happened eventually.   More...

My Trip to Paradise
Submitted by cleo on 2006-11-30 04:31:53 (via www.arl.wustl.edu)
A very graphic, easy-to-read and entertaining account of a Costa Rica trip with a rich fishing escapade to Nicaragua and back. This followed by the trout hunt, the white-water rafting on pristine Pacuare river, spiced with a real flavor of the day-to-day life of the locals and ending with a marvelous trip to volcano Poas. Hooh!;o)

Thailand travelogue
Submitted by pablo on 2006-11-30 02:16:40 (via jmosney.blogspot.com)
Here’s a very easy-to-read trip report about Thailand, with great pictures. A place of beauty and paradox, where poor people lay on the streets and shortly beyond them, giant skyscrapers and golden-colored temples loom. It’s real Heaven for us westerners though: cheap food, cheap clothing, cheap everything. Still, the experience is priceless…

Aruba: Shrouded in Mystery
Submitted by christine on 2006-11-30 02:14:03 (via www.arubatragedy.com)
What is it that really happened that May 30th when Alabama teen Natalee Holloway vanished into the night, during her stay in Aruba? No one has seen her since she left with 3 locals in the early hours of that day. Aruba = One Happy Island? I don’t think so. This article made me consider safety issues above fun and beautiful scenery. Sad & scary:(   More...

Catherine's Pros and Cons of Cambodia
Submitted by roxy on 2006-11-29 02:35:34 (via www.break-fresh-ground.com)
I don’t this a perfect destination exists, so it’s OK to admit the pro’s and con’s of a place. And if you do that in a funny way, you’ve got a good article in your hands! Cambodia is a country I haven’t heard much about, but as long as it’s got silent beaches and a barber shop called “Kennedy” (for unknown reasons), it’s got me for future visits.   More...

Adventures and Misadventures in Honduras
Submitted by Adele on 2006-11-28 03:38:32 (via www.travelblog.org)
Here’s the account of a guy with a strange passion for both ruins and tunnels describing the picturesque Copan ruins - a famous site mainly because of its sculpture work, considered to be one of the best in the ancient world, carved in stone nearly two-thousand years ago without the help of modern tools. For those fond of ancient sculpture…Go!
