I honestly liked this article. It has a note of sadness about it, but it also uses a very sophisticated style, which I truly value as a great talent on the part of the author. I must confess though, when in Venice, I have not taken the time to contemplate on its fate in connection with the history. I saw it more through romantic glasses…:o)
