New Year in Spain
Submitted by pablo on 2007-05-23 04:40:48 (via www.geocities.com)
Starting a new year in Spain… a truly dream vacation! There was a great atmosphere on the Balcon, a band was playing, the people were dancing, the Champagne was flowing and it was a beautifully mild evening - perfect! It is as fine, as you have some hours of sun bathing after the wet and windy weather of UK.

Cordoba
Submitted by cleo on 2007-04-27 08:26:07 (via www.wired2theworld.com)
What do you do, if you end up in Cordoba? Maybe by reading this, one can get a pretty good idea what the place is like, moreover there are plenty of pictures. The main attraction seems to be Mezquita, which I gather is a very architecturally intricate fortress…   More...

The Naked Truth
Submitted by Adele on 2007-04-13 09:11:54 (via www.wherescherie.com)
“Fuerteventura is an island where if you were accused of being a witch, the town-folk would bind you to a steak on the mountain top to scorch in the sun for 5 days without food or water. If you survived, you were burned--certainly you must be a witch. If you were dead, it was a pity...someone must have made an error.” This is fun to read.

Barcelona Blues
Submitted by Amber on 2007-04-12 07:29:21 (via www.adventureprone.com)
Never thought Spain has so many incredible places to see: tucked away high amongst a series of long, finger-like spires of rock sat the Benedictine Monastery of Montserrat; then, there is Salvador Dali's Teatre Museu in Figueres oddly decorated with giant eggs. Also, Barcelona nightlife, a pickpocket attempt, and being locked in yard…fun to read.   More...

A Brief Catalonian Diversion
Submitted by kiwi on 2007-02-23 07:36:41 (via www.sff.net)
Gerona is not necessarily a touristy city, but too bad, ‘cause it’s a very beautiful place with great ancient architecture and ruins. By reading this I’ve learned the difference between Catalan and Castellan, as well as the confirmation that jerks are everywhere. So, you can’t make a generalization of a particular people after one visit only.   More...

Art and Architecture of Modern Spain
Submitted by cmaingue on 2007-01-30 10:58:05 (via www.circatours.com)
Spain is THE hotbed of modern architecture right now, as evidenced by a recent exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Besides visiting great architectural projects from Madrid to Bilbao to Barcelona and Valencia, I checked out the Catalonia of modern Spanish painters like Juan Miró, Salvador Dalí and Pablo Picasso.   More...

Land of Flamenco
Submitted by Adele on 2006-12-29 03:19:21 (via www.ericandjoan.com)
These guys arrived in Sevilla right during Feria de Abril, the biggest festival of the year: this is the time when people dressed up in layered dresses and black suits dance Flamenco till they drop. That is awesome in one sense, but where can you find a place to sleep…

Ibiza and Pamplona Travelogue and Party
Submitted by lisa on 2006-12-20 02:35:40 (via www.pubclub.com)
There’s no secret: Ibiza is known as the best party spot on the glob. So here we are, a bunch of Californians go to Ibiza - from one beach to another- to party day and night (most clubs open at 2 a.m., and last till next morning). It’s a fun place to visit for party people, and an interesting one to read about for the rest of us :)
