Chased by an Elephant
Submitted by Amber on 2007-03-07 07:16:05 (via
When on a safari tour, you would expect a lion to chase you, right, or a rhino, ok? But here is an elephant threatening to flip you truck over. Although all these wild life representatives seemed to ignore completely this human-in-their-vehicles intrusion in their private lives, this particular elephant decided he’s had enough…   More...

Finding Freedom and Forming Friendships
Submitted by Adele on 2007-03-06 06:47:43 (via
Women-only tours! What a great invention! A chance to immerse oneself in various aspects of a culture: “shopping at the local markets, speaking with local children and paying attention to the color of the local stone and flowers." A chance that allows mothers and daughters to get beyond their roles in the family and discover "a whole new person."   More...

Biking Solo from Maine to Pennsylvania
Submitted by cleo on 2007-03-02 03:05:09 (via
This is a great bicycling tour of 827 miles. No parade and no fanfare at the end, “but I didn't need them. What I got instead were the memories of the dozens of kind souls who had poured out their hospitality on me, as I weaved my way in and out of their lives, out on the open road”. Courage and tenacity is required though for such an endeavor.   More...

An alive, free of charge tourist attraction. Bioluminescent Bay
Submitted by kiwi on 2007-03-01 05:44:01 (via
Absolutely blockbusting!!! If you splash water on your hair it will drip crystals of light like tiny sparkling jewels. If you bang on the sides of your kayak you’ll see the streaks of light they make underwater. If it starts to rain, the whole bay will light up, and everything is glowing and sparkling in electric greenish and bluish white light.   More...

Saudi Arabia
Submitted by lisa on 2007-03-01 05:08:41 (via
This article shows a profound excitement that a strong religious person can feel when visiting the holly places of her religion, Islam. It is just so touchy, this article; the author’s all reactions were just sighs of deep admiration and thankfulness to God for visiting Mecca.

Hiking the Great Wall of China
Submitted by bindero on 2007-02-28 06:46:10 (via
Although Mongols have gone long time ago, The Great Wall of China still snakes through hills and plates, surveying the land and population from the predators. Hiking around the Great Wall and just admiring the sunset over it, makes humans feel the greatness of the nature and the happiness of living on the earth.
