Wakatobi - a Diving Adventure in Sulawesi
Submitted by pablo on 2007-02-13 08:22:53 (via www.underwater.com.au)
Wakatobi – another wonderful place for divers! The currents that pass through channels and along the steep drop offs carry an incredible diversity of marine life that settles on the substrates surrounding the atolls; the bungalows which are very comfortable; and the friendly Sulawesian community make of it a perfect destination.   More...

Becoming a Certified Diver
Submitted by christine on 2007-02-12 09:05:13 (via www.drpure.com)
Theory in the morning and practice afternoon? That’s about a diving school! “The notion that school could ever be 'fun' was alien to my way of thinking; and the idea that several precious hours of a Caribbean vacation should be spent in a classroom was nothing short of perverse”. But this is worth it when it comes to become a certified scuba diver.

Alaska Adventurer
Submitted by christine on 2007-02-09 05:23:33 (via www.yachtalaska.com)
”All of a sudden, the surface boiled with fish and the water flushed white. All at once 14 whales burst through the surface, mouths wide open just a few feet from our eyes. We could see right into their mouths. I was stunned by the sight and when words finally came, I could only muster up an "Oh...my...God, I think I better go sit down." Amazing!

Volcanic Views
Submitted by Amber on 2007-02-09 01:08:57 (via www.icdc.com)
This is a visit to the Mount Doom from the Lord of the Rings. The author calls the 12 mile trail as New Zealand’s most breathtaking trail. It didn’t seem so to Frodo :o) Well, ok, that was a different story. Great hike among volcano craters! Boom!!! What was that? Oh, no… an eruption?!   More...

Homer, AK – Travelogue
Submitted by lisa on 2007-02-08 08:21:52 (via www.cross-country-trips.com)
What can be more romantic than having a dinner somewhere in Alaska at a camping fire with friends, eating the fish caught during the day? It’s wonderful, but for this you have to learn the right fishing technology. For this you may either observe the others or, if you are an interesting blond girl, may directly ask some genuine fishmen from around.

Edinburg
Submitted by lisa on 2007-02-02 08:28:38 (via www.jaclynreding.com)
If historical and cultural beauties are what you value the most while travelling then this is an article for you. I was both impressed and fascinated by the beauty of the castels in Scotland. What is more astonishing is that every castle has its own fantastic story about endless love or ghosts that come to dinner every evening.   More...

A Paradise of Peace and Quiet
Submitted by bindero on 2007-02-02 08:00:28 (via www.off-the-beaten-track.net)
I can hardly express my feelings after reading this article. It made me dream about the sweet happines and harmony in a beautiful world without deadlines and stresses. It’s about Bohemia, where “wooded hills alternate with rolling grainfields. Hundreds of ponds are scattered over the landscape and every few miles you pass by a picturesque village.”   More...

The Serengeti Travelogue
Submitted by pablo on 2007-02-02 06:28:03 (via travel.sulekha.com)
Serengeti – the safari paradise! On a teritory as big as Holland you can find four out of ’big five’ animals. “Serengeti will easily make it to anybody's list of top five natural wonders of the world. I don't think there are that many places in the world where you could shoo away hyenas and lions during dinner time!”

Journey to Phuket, Thailand, June 2001

If you ask me what comes into my mind when you say Thai I would tell you: “Thai massage of course!” Nothing compares with the sensation of relaxation that this delicate massage gives you.
The author of this article perfectly expresses the feelings she got after an authentic Thai massage. Pretty intriguing!   More...
