Alaska Adventurer Trip Log
Submitted by roxy on 2007-01-25 03:08:45 (via www.yachtalaska.com)
What can be more fascinating than whatching the whales? "Whatching the whales!", would answer the members of the Alaska Adventurer, joined together from all over the world for this special activity. “The whales arrive at the surface with their enormous mouths wide open, synchronized in a spectacular group lunge”. It’s indeed a breathtaking picture!

Russian River
Submitted by roxy on 2007-01-24 02:29:44 (via www.cross-country-trips.com)
Wow! Watching bears by the Russian River is one of the coolest things you can experience; it makes you really feel like being on Discovery Channel. It’s so exciting to see them in their natural environment, in the same time assuming the risk that this can turn into a real hunting! And it’s not sure who will hunt whom. Yeah, pretty wild scene!

Discover Namibia
Submitted by kiwi on 2007-01-12 03:59:00 (via www.slrobertson.com)
This is an amazing article about Namibia: lots of fascinating wildlife, scenic views, the dunes that change color as the sun raises above them, Etosha National Park, a still and quiet, yet exciting baloon flight expereince and many good pictures. I’ve enjoyed it.

India Rats
Submitted by Laurentzi on 2006-12-22 01:46:42 (via dougs-travels.com)
What is worse: a rat or its fleas? I didn’t know rats have fleas that bite people. But they are all part of India’s ecolife;o) Read this story. It’s funny, but don’t let it spoil your desire to visit India. This kind of stuff can be avoided. I think;|

Australian Wildlife
Submitted by Adele on 2006-12-15 02:36:34 (via www.traveladdicts.connectfree.co.uk)
I remember learning in school that in Australia you can find animals that are nowhere else on earth, but that touched me little. Reading this account by Christ and Lina gave me a real picture of the wildlife there. How fun – you walk along and here is a kangaroo peeping at you from among the bushes. You think: “What sort of creature is this?”

Arthropods and Insects
Submitted by Laurentzi on 2006-12-15 02:33:40 (via www.caldrin.de)
What are the small inhabitants of Bermuda? Let’s see, going there you’ll find guys who build webs, but not web-programmers, red crabs that don’t mind sacrificing an arm just to get rid of you, tough coackroaches which are the kind of animal that can make a full grown student flee in panic when noticed, aaa! as well as other impressive arthropods;)

The Wildlife in Costa-Rica
Submitted by kiwi on 2006-11-23 04:47:25 (via www.highrock.com)
Here a glimpse of the wild-life in Costa Rica. Leaf-cutter ants, turkey vultures, macaws, beautiful stallions, white-faced monkeys, Iguanas and a cute baby three-toed sloth lost - a lot of interesting creatures, but what else can you expect, when in the jungle!   More...

Ecuador Rainforest Adventure
Submitted by bindero on 2006-11-09 01:35:11 (via www.adventure-life.com)
The belief is if you walk the equatorial line you achieve inner balance. Nancy Pilius had the chance to do it when visiting Ecuador for its amazing wildlife. Imagine hiking through the forest and discovering tracks from tapir, deer, ocelot and other animals, and having a refreshing swim in the Cuyabeno river afterwards. That sure is inner balance!
