Oh, this is a must to read, if you ever think of becoming a Survival Specialist who trains fighter pilots, parabats and pathfinders in the art of survival. See the toughness of it: suffering from insomnia, being scared, hungry and dirty, but resolve on conquering the Mother Nature. A very hilarious and entertaining style. Great imagination!   More...

Ecuador Rainforest Adventure
Submitted by bindero on 2006-11-09 01:35:11 (via www.adventure-life.com)
The belief is if you walk the equatorial line you achieve inner balance. Nancy Pilius had the chance to do it when visiting Ecuador for its amazing wildlife. Imagine hiking through the forest and discovering tracks from tapir, deer, ocelot and other animals, and having a refreshing swim in the Cuyabeno river afterwards. That sure is inner balance!

Chased by an Elephant

When on a safari tour, you would expect a lion to chase you, right, or a rhino, ok? But here is an elephant threatening to flip you truck over. Although all these wild life representatives seemed to ignore completely this human-in-their-vehicles intrusion in their private lives, this particular elephant decided he’s had enough…   More...

Falling in Love in QR
Submitted by Adele on 2007-02-23 04:18:01 (via www.nhavers.8k.com)
Sian Ka'an is the true romantic ideal of nature unsullied by man: Robinson Crusoe beaches, so vast you get lost on them, lush jungles, only howler monkeys, the odd crocodile and exotic birds 4company. Time passes slowly in Sian Ka'an, so you effortlessly float on currents, observing the giant mangrove roots and brown pelicans dive-bombing 4fish.   More...

Kahna Tiger Reserve
Submitted by cleo on 2007-02-21 06:13:10 (via www.wildlifetravel.net)
An accurate description of what the jungle is like. In Kahna reserve you can see a tiger up-close being on top of an elephant – the tiger can’t see you, so he doesn’t get in the mood for prey;o) At the same time elephant’s driver can command it to uproot an obstructive tree on the way. How still captivating remains the nature!   More...
