I had the extraordinary opportunity to spend the better part of the last year living in Leipzig, Germany and am eager to share some of my fun travel adventures. While Leipzig is in the former East, closer to Berlin than to Munich, the September call of Oktoberfest drifted north from Bavaria and a friend and I made plans to visit the famed festival.

Finding a Dream in an Iowa Cornfield

Dyersville, you see, is where a baseball field was carved out of a cornfield and became the setting for the film, Field of Dreams.The field is still here and, for reasons few are fully able to explain, every year thousands of people from all over the country are drawn to this little Iowa town to see it.
