| Have you heard of the Lake of the Pregnant Maiden? Legend says that a white crocodile lives in the lake and that any female bathing in the magic waters will bear children… How can one know? Even if this doesn’t happen it is a exquisitely beautiful place to visit.

| If you happen to travel to Middle East you will find a very interesting phenomena: Iraqis floating on the Dead Sea, chanting “Boosh, Boosh, We love George Boosh!”. Isn’t this hilarious? But they have a reason...

| Tradition and Artifice |

| “What is tradition? A strange force that makes thousands of people wait for hours in the sun for a three second glance… Because... it is the way things are done. Someone isn't happy with our food. It's old-fashioned. Not sexy. Not space age. Where is the voice to resist artifice?..” You don’t have to go England to face this.

| "Be very careful in the tunnel." I never thought to ask what I should be careful of, so as I approached the tunnel, fear set in. I didn't fancy being attacked in a dark tunnel, so I pulled out my headlamp… I rode as fast as I could, my heart pumping madly. Then I heard a "click”." Bicycling in dangerous Columbia. Startling even when reading only!

| In retrospect it turned out to be the best trip so far… It was better than we could have hoped for. It was the most relaxed time we have ever been in our travels. Cruising on the lakes and rivers was quite different from an ocean cruise. The entertainment was of a higher caliber… It was wonderful!!

| As you travel around the world, is interesting how certain things vary from one nation to another. As it was with the toilets, so it is with the courting behavior. The author was surprised with the short shorts of a girls in Russia, but that is more and more of a common sight in this country… No surprise for the elderly anymore.

| The Japanese game that rules in Kyoto seems to be very simple but more popular - most of the 'American style' racing and shooting games went unused. Another thing is that this place has more then 2000 temples…

| “Tirana is a city of extreme contrasts. A donkey-drawn cart pulls up along side of a top-line Mercedes. A Muslim cleric sings the morning prayers as a spandex-clad woman enjoys her morning run. A cow looks up from grazing to notice a major traffic jam”. Looks like a scene from an Indian movie, while it is a European country we are talking about.
