Bodrum - the Magnet
Submitted by roxy on 2007-03-30 08:11:53 (via www.bootsnall.com)
For most travelers, the South Aegean coast of Turkey is a holiday resort and not much else. However, after spending some time, what looks like any other small town on the seashore, turns out to be the center of the beautiful people of Turkey. This makes Bodrum a really special place for special people.   More...

Tropical Windshield Wipers
Submitted by Laurentzi on 2007-03-30 07:43:58 (via www.vwvagabonds.com)
Who would think that you can get trapped by something, as simple as broken windshield wipers? And why such an insignificant thing should spoil your day? Well, in a place with constant heavy rain and the narrow roads that offered no place to pull off for twenty or thirty kilometer, this is a problem. And in paradise cars are different;O).   More...

Victoria Falls
Submitted by bindero on 2007-03-30 07:32:44 (via www.knoware.co.uk)
Do you know the meaning of the name of Victoria Falls in the local dialect? It is named Mosi-Oa-Tunya – "The Smoke That Thunders". That is because not only the river Zambezi pours over a cliff, but actually pours into a hole caused by a rift. The water then exits at the bottom through a channel, continuing its way further down. Splendid view!

Mlilwane Nature Reserve
Submitted by lisa on 2007-03-30 07:28:00 (via www.kusafiri.net)
Mlilwane nature reserve is a place where humans and animals are combined as a whole one. Every element of this picture only adds value to the whole system, and even 4x4 are seen here as an indispensable element, like for example, zebras and rhinos.

Zambia
Submitted by roxy on 2007-03-30 07:24:20 (via www.ourafricansafari.com.au)
Here a very nice overview of a trip to Zambia with some information about hotels where you can stay. But there’s one thing you learn quickly in Zambia and Tanzania, if you ask if there is hot water, the reply is usually, 'yes' - but it doesn't mean that your room is connected to same!

Benghazi - Eclipse Camp
Submitted by bindero on 2007-03-30 07:19:46 (via www.joetourist.ca)
What an experience! To observe the total eclipse of the sun from the middle of the Saharan Desert! You cannot see it every day and nothing compares to the feeling that you get when it becomes suddenly dark in the middle of the day and the temperature drops with 7-8 degrees during 1 minute. Terrific!

Simon Says: Go to the Algarve
Submitted by Adele on 2007-03-30 07:11:14 (via www.dickandwitta.com)
From the description Quinto de Lago seems like a perfect place to visit in terms of value, especially if you are a golfer. For the non-golfer, this is still a brilliant place to relax: hiking trails, pottery painted in colorful designs, fine tablecloths and plenty of restaurants serving delicious food.   More...

Libya/Tunisia Trip
Submitted by lisa on 2007-03-30 07:06:59 (via www.cristytrembly.com)
Tunisia and Libya attracts tourists like magnets, not only by the climate and sea, but also by its culture, a combination of traditionalism and modernism. In Tunisia you see teenagers in designer clothes, talking on their cells with their moms wearing hijab. In Libya people are more traditional, though most women don’t wear hijab. So interesting!

Although is more about a day spend with people, Tika was an important figure still. The experiences, moments, lessons, laughter, surprises she helped experience are countless. And priceless.   More...
